At Advanced Instruments Hearing Aid Services, we provide a suite of services that focus on providing comprehensive and individualized hearing healthcare. Our practice is invested in understanding and identifying your hearing needs so that we can develop tailored hearing solutions that transform your hearing health and wellness. Our services thoroughly evaluate, treat, manage, and support your hearing health so that you can live your best life.

Hearing Tests

The first step towards treating hearing loss is having your hearing health evaluated. The testing process is painless and noninvasive. It starts with learning more about your symptoms, hearing health history, and discussing any lifestyle factors that can impact your hearing. After learning about your health history and what you are experiencing, we thoroughly test your hearing abilities in both ears.
There are a few types of hearing tests that are used to effectively measure hearing capacities. One of the most common tests is known as pure tone audiometry testing. This involves wearing headphones while sounds at different volumes are played and you indicate what you can hear. This measures the softest sounds you can hear, identifying your hearing thresholds. Once we establish the specifics of your hearing loss - type and degree of impairment for each ear - we can discuss treatment solutions.

Hearing Aid Fittings

We take the time to help you navigate your hearing aid options. Once you’ve selected your device, our experts will program them with your specific hearing prescription. This includes programming settings that will effectively process sound in ways that support and maximize your hearing. You will receive your hearing aids at your fitting appointment.
During your fitting, we make sure your hearing aid fits comfortably and works optimally. We run performance tests to ensure that your device is meeting your needs and make any adjustments if necessary. You will also learn everything about your hearing aid during the fitting. This includes how to best care for and maintain your device, how to carefully insert and remove them, use any features and technologies it comes with, how to replace batteries, etc. Bringing a loved one to this appointment is a great idea because we will be discussing important information so having another set of ears to also take in this training is useful.
All of our patients are scheduled for a no-charge follow-up appointment to ensure they are comfortable and doing great with their new hearing instruments. Please call us with any questions. We are here to help!

Custom Hearing Protection

Noise is a common cause of hearing loss. Did you know that over 22 million people are exposed to hazardous noise levels in the workplace? The World Health Organization also estimates that over 1 billion people worldwide experience an increased risk of developing hearing loss due to loud noise exposure. Fortunately, noise-induced hearing loss is completely preventable. One of the most effective safety measures you can practice is investing in custom hearing protection. Our practice offers tailor-made hearing protection that allows you to safely listen to noise while still having access to full soundscapes.

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices, or ALDs, are hearing technologies that are designed to support hearing health for anyone who experiences challenges. ALDs range from personal amplifiers to ALDs for TV, hearing loops in public spaces, and amplified phones. Most ALDs are hearing aid compatible and the combination of both provides comprehensive hearing support. We will discuss options with you and identify what can work best in your everyday life.
